I bought it for my HDR-XR500V and found out it was also the cure for my HDR-SR5 that has no mic or earphone jacks.I use the stereo mode more often than the 5.1 surround sound.It sounds a little cleaner to me.I would recommend it to anyone looking for a resonably priced quality wireless microphone for Sony..
